Challenge
As much as I love a good true crime podcast or a daily news segment, it was no suprise that podcast production would be equally rewarding to me. L3 Leadership Podcast is a biweekly podcast featuring business leaders and celebrities telling their stories of success and failure in leadership. The podcast has featured guests such as Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, several personalities from The Ramsey Show, and CEOs of fortune 500 companies. In 2024, the podcast had taken a long hiatus, and its host approached me about planning a podcast relaunch.
Goal
My task for the podcast was to create a new visual identity and format for future releases, in order to bring back an audience that had not been active in nearly a year. I created new graphics, thumbnails, promotional teasers, and segment breaks for the show. I also updated the intro and outtro format with new art direction and new theme music.
Result
I was asked to stay on as an executive producer on the show, which has involved editing episodes from time to time, and working with my team to create the final cut of each podcast on a tight deadline. The podcast relaunched in December of 2024 and has been steadily regaining traction across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Youtube ever since.
